1957 left navy due to health. Worked in Leningrad department of the Mathematical Institute of the Soviet Academy of science and several other research institutes. Joint the team of developers of world first desktop calculator "Vilnus" and "Vyatka". This computers were manufactured from 1962 till 1976.
Since 1968 till present works in Leningrad State University, first in the department of Mathematics and Mechanics, later in the department of Applied Mathematics and Control Processes as a senior researcher.
Since 1972 till present is a tenure professor of the Leningrad State University.
Got the second level Ph.D. (doktor technischskih nauk) in 1972. The title of the thesis: "Optimization of non-linear control systems".
Since 1972 till present is a tenure professor of the Leningrad State University.
